Solar Integrated Technologies Brings Additional Sun Power To Frito-Lay La Mirada, City of Industry and San Diego

Solar Integrated Receives Notice to Proceed from Frito Lay for Three Additional Follow Up Orders

Los Angeles, CA, April 7, 2004 - Solar Integrated Technologies receives final authorization to proceed with the installation of three 100kW photovoltaic integrated roof systems for Frito Lay in La Mirada, City of Industry and San Diego Distribution Centers.  With the completion of these installations Frito Lay will have 500 kW of SIT photovoltaic systems in service providing over one million kW hours of electricity annually from these systems.

At a recent energy conference which was held in Plano, Texas which was attended by members of the entire Pepsi family which includes Frito Lay, Tropicana, Quaker Oats, Gatorade and Walker Chips, it was announced that the Frito Lay energy group will now provide energy consultation and services to the entire PepsiCo family of companies.  This new corporate reorganization and alignment will now open the door for Solar Integrated Technologies to market and offer its unique integrated photovoltaic roofing solution to the entire PepsiCo community of companies. 

Michael McNeese, Account Manager for SIT stated that this year’s energy conference which was attended by 300+ facility managers featured several Solar Integrated Technologies photovoltaic installations.  These project were highlighted as part of the conference and received strong interest by several PepsiCo division including;  the Walker Chip division in the U.K., Pepsi Cola Bottling in Germany, and Tropicana Divisions located in Florida.
