Solar Integrated Partners with Sarnafil to Target North American and Spanish Solar Roofing Market Los Angeles, California, May 23, 2006 – Solar Integrated Technologies, Inc. (AIM: SIT.LN), a leading provider of non-residential Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) roofing systems, announced today that it has entered into an agency agreement with Sarnafil Inc., an international manufacturer of high-tech polymer roofing membranes. Under the agreement, Sarnafil has agreed to market Solar Integrated’s BIPV roofing systems through Sarnafil’s extensive sales network in North America. Solar Integrated also announced today that it has extended its European agency agreement with Sarnafil. Currently, Sarnafil exclusively markets Solar Integrated’s BIPV roofing systems through its sales channel in Germany. The new arrangement will also cover Sarnafil’s sales channel in Spain. The Spanish Government is committed to the adoption of renewable energy and has implemented a photovoltaic electricity feed-in tariff system similar to that of Germany. “This agreement strengthens the important relationship between our two companies and builds on the early sales success we have jointly achieved in Germany. Sarnafil has been our channel to market for more than 50% of our projects to date in Germany,” commented Jon W. Slangerup, Chief Executive Officer of Solar Integrated. “Accessing Sarnafil’s extensive and experienced sales and installation channels in these large potential solar markets, particularly in the United States and Spain, positions us very well for additional near-term sales opportunities for prospective customers that fit our target profile.” “There is a complementary fit between Solar Integrated’s BIPV roofing system and the emerging needs of our end-users – owners of non-residential buildings with large low-slope roofs,” said Brian Whelan, President of Sarnafil Inc. “Our customers already look to Sarnafil for the best in energy-efficient roofing products. Adding Solar Integrated’s innovative BIPV roofing systems to our product mix is a logical step. Building owners are increasingly interested in ways to reduce their peak energy costs and hedge their long-term exposure to increases in electricity costs. Solar Integrated’s BIPV roofing system provides our sales channel with a solution that meets the end user’s roofing and onsite solar power requirements. As both a supplier of single-ply roofing membranes and a sales agent to Solar Integrated, we are highly motivated to see their BIPV roofing systems successfully sell into our channels.” These sales channel arrangements are in addition to the existing supply agreement between the companies. In April 2004, Solar Integrated entered into a supply agreement with Sarnafil pursuant to which Sarnafil supplies Solar Integrated with high quality polymer single-ply roofing membranes on an exclusive basis for the North American market. The initial term of the supply agreement with Sarnafil expires on December 31, 2009. About Sarnafil Inc.
