Solar Integrated Launches Solar Carport Product;
Completes Initial 152 kW Project In Vacaville, California; Wins Additional Orders

London, UK, and Los Angeles, California, May 3, 2007 – Solar Integrated Technologies, Inc. (AIM:SIT.LN), a leading provider of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roofing systems, announced today the launch of a new product offering – a carport integrated photovoltaic system, or solar carport, that provides shaded parking for vehicles while generating clean solar power.  The Company also announced the completion of its first solar carport project – 152kW of solar power on carports covering 186 parking spots at the Millennium SportsClub Vacaville in Vacaville, California.  The Company also announced that it has now secured additional orders for its solar carport product.

“We view the solar carport market as a logical extension of our product offering,” stated R. Randall MacEwen, President & CEO of Solar Integrated.  “Our objective is to provide our customers with all of their integrated solar needs, whether on their roof, their parking lot or their adjacent land.  With additional commercial orders in hand, we view the solar carport market as an exciting and complementary growth market for our light-weight solar solutions.”

Mr. MacEwen continued: “We are thrilled to celebrate the Millennium SportsClub Vacaville as our inaugural solar carport project.  Millennium SportsClub is committed to servicing its members and community by providing valued health and recreational programs, and facilities that enhance the body, renew the mind and nurture the spirit.  Millennium SportsClub Vacaville is an attractive and member-focused facility.  They are now able to offer their members and employees shaded parking, while also generating over 205,000 kWh of clean solar power per year and saving over 180,000 pounds of carbon dioxide per year.”

“Solar Integrated’s solar carports have transformed our parking lot into a source of economic, clean power for our site power requirements, while keeping vehicles cool and shaded,” stated Galen Miler of Millennium SportsClub.  “They provided a turn-key product and installation approach that allowed us to maintain our focus on our members.”

Mr. MacEwen continued:  “We recently announced our first solar ground-mount contract win, a $10 million project in Italy.  We have now launched our solar carport product.  In addition to effectively responding to the strong market interest in our BIPV roofing systems, we continue to demonstrate our ability to innovate and expand our product portfolio to meet customer requirements.”

The Company’s light-weight solar carport product is based on an aesthetically appealing architectural design, adding value to the property without increasing property taxes.  Customers are able to increase their return on investment on their existing parking spaces while effectively providing a long-term hedge against the expected increase in peak utility rates.  The Company provides the customer with a turn-key, single point-of-contract for feasibility studies, design and engineering, contract management, entitlement/permit process guidance, construction, installation, financing options, system monitoring, and site maintenance.  The Company’s solar carport product has a modular design that accommodates sites of any size or shape, giving virtually any parking lot an economical solar retrofit option that reduces the site’s carbon footprint.
