Main advantages of Solar Integrated’s SolarRoof Membrane
Lightweight
With a weight of only 4.9 kg/m2 (European product) or 12 ounces/ft² (North American product) our SolarRoof Membrane is well suited for most roofing applications, including new construction and re-roofing/retrofit of low-slope and curved roofs. Our SolarRoof Membranes do not compromise the statics of the roof and require no additional substructure. They form an integral part of the membrane roof and match its existing wind-load rating without penetrations or ballasting.
Powerful
The amorphous silicon PV cells enable maximum kilowatt-hour output, producing electricity using a wider spectrum of light than traditional crystalline technology. This allows the amorphous cells to start producing energy earlier in the day until later in the afternoon and even when it is cloudy or overcast.
Durable
The combination of a roofing membrane listed under the EPA’s Energy Star© programs with sophisticated flexible thin-film PV elements leads to exceptional durability both in terms of challenging environmental conditions for the membrane as well as the capability to handle changing light and shade conditions by the PV elements. Our SolarRoof Membranes are sealed and bonded, providing a weather tight, long-lasting roof that has no penetrations.
